Lewis & Clark College

Sept 2019-May 2020

Evan worked as a Video Production Assistant for Lewis & Clark College during his senior year as a theatre major. He learned that the theatre department was in need of new promotional content; their last departmental video dated back to 2013.

He pitched the idea for a high-energy video that would capture prospective students’ attention and interest, showcasing footage from classes, performances, shop work alongside professor testimonies. From there he developed a storyboard, captured b-roll and interview footage, and edited it all together with prerecorded performance footage.

Portland Experimental Theatre Ensemble

May-August 2019

Evan worked as a Research Assistant with the Portland Experimental Theatre Ensemble (PETE) on their summer production Our Ruined House (2019). Among other duties, he captured rehearsal footage and assembled it with other company media to create short promotional videos for the show.

Under the guidance of director Jacob Coleman, Evan created an appropriate artistic aesthetic for the company: eye-catching, compelling shots that tell a fragmented story, keeping the audience guessing and intrigued to see more.
